Grants are awarded in the form of scholarships and loans, for which the City cantons of the students are responsible. Due to the non-uniform criteria is the awarding of grants from canton to canton different. Scholarship applications must be submitted in writing to the cantonal scholarship office.
Student loans must be repaid after graduation, scholarships not. Further funding for studying, in addition to the cantonal scholarships are also federal, resident community or foundation grants.
